Important Information About COVID-19

 

At Women’s Health Alliance, we are taking proactive measures to help ensure the health and safety of our patients. We have adjusted visitor access and screening tools:

  • Masks are optional for patients and visitors.

  • All patients and visitors will be screened upon arrival.

  • To reduce the spread of respiratory illnesses, we are continuing to follow the CDC guidelines to better protect our patients, staff and you.

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, you may be asked to reschedule your visit until you are symptom-free.

  • We are unable to test or treat for any communicable diseases, including COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Please refer to the CDC for further information and to keep updated of developing recommendations. Self-quarantine is strongly recommended if you have any symptoms, have been exposed, or recently traveled. Pregnant patients should pay close attention to the recommendations regarding social distancing and limiting travel. Please refer to ACOG for updated guidelines regarding pregnancy and COVID-19.

Meet Our Doctors

Charles S. Brodsky, M.D.

Dr. Brodsky was raised and educated in New York. After attending Vassar College, he went to medical school at the State University of New York’s Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He moved to Dallas in 1992, where he completed his Ob/Gyn residency at Baylor University Medical Center in 1996.

Mary C. Plank, M.D.

Dr. Plank graduated from Creighton University Summa Cum Laude. She earned her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Lori C. Romberg, M.D.

Dr. Romberg earned her bachelor’s degree with summa cum laude honors from the University of California at San Diego. She attended both graduate and medical school at UT Southwestern. She complete residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Rachel L. Kurian, M.D.

Dr. Kurian received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She then graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine with honors, and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Shannon E. McCants, M.D.

Dr. McCants grew up in Kansas City, and then came to Texas for all of her schooling. She received her bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She then went across the DFW metroplex to the University of Texas at Southwestern for Medical School.

Sandra Z. Brothers, M.D.

Dr. Brothers earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences and Biology from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. She attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Joy S. Peveto, M.D.

Dr. Peveto received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude. She returned to the DFW metroplex and received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

Ashley W. Tovo, M.D.

Dr. Ashley Tovo  attended Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where she graduated with honors. Dr. Tovo went on to study medicine at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia. She and her husband moved to Dallas where she completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Hillary E. Myears, M.D.

Dr. Myears  graduated from the University of Missouri summa cum laude and then moved to Dallas to attend UT Southwestern for medical school. She stayed in Dallas for residency at Parkland Hospital, where she served as chief resident and won several teaching awards from the medical students and residents.

Elizabeth A. Newsom, M.D.

Dr. Newsom received her undergraduate degree from Duke University then returned to Texas to attend UT Southwestern Medical School. She remained in Dallas to complete her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Parkland Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
